His passing was very sudden
He didn't really have a chance
God needed him urgently
No time for warnings in advance

Hayes had earned a place in Heaven
It was time for him to go
His last words were "I'm almost home"
Did he already know?

We feel his presence all around
We still see his smile so bright
See his laughing eyes twinkle
In the stars we admire every night

A wonderful son and brother
Mom's baby, dads best friend
Until they meet again one day
Their hearts will never mend
