For Those I Love & Those Who Love Me

When I am gone, release me, let me go
I have so many things to see and do
You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears,
Be thankful for our beautiful years.

I gave you my love. You can only guess
How much you gave to me in happiness.
I thank you for the love each have shown,
But it's time I traveled alone.

So grieve a while for me, if grieve you must,
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It's only for a time we must part
So bless the memories within your heart.

I won't be far away, for life goes on
So if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near
And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear
All my love around you, soft and clear.

And then, when you must come this way alone,
I'll greet you with a smile, and say-
"Welcome Home!"

Hayes 15 yrs. old with a group of girls on our cruise who wanted a picture made with him

This is Chad Keller and Kate Clark. Chad was Hayes' best friend at Fayette Academy. They played basketball for Fayette Academy together. Kate Clark is the girl who Hayes was "Head Over Heels" for at the time of his accident. Hayes had asked Kate out and she had just got out of a relationship and didn't want to get involved in another relationship so soon. They were starting out as truly close friends. When the funeral home gave us Hayes' clothes, he had a letter to Kate in his coat pocket that he never got to give her. I delivered the letter to Kate and since then she has became an important part of our lives. We LOVE you and thank you for all that you do. Thank you Joyce Allman for adding Hayes in the background of the picture for me. You're still amazing!!

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Hall & Family,

I just wanted to start off by thanking you for coming to the game last Saturday night. I really enjoyed watching the game with you. Being around you makes me feel even closer to Hayes. I can't say enough how much Hayes' life affected mine. Knowing him has made me count my every blessing and enjoy the small things I once took for granted.

I know that you have heard thousands of times what a great person Hayes was, but I just wanted to tell you again. Hayes was incredible. Other than the beautiful blue eyes and the breathtaking smile, he had a huge heart. We had several talks about nothing, but we also had several talks about life. We talked about what he wanted his wife to be like (he said he wanted her to be like his mom!), we talked about college and graduation, and we talked about being young.

Right away, I knew he had a great love for his family, and the more I was around Hayes, the more I knew that was true. He was a true gentleman; you raised a wonderful son. He would come over and sit on the front porch or on the couch and just talk. It felt like we could talk forever. If he wasn't stopping by me house, he was calling. It was such a blessing to have such a good friend. I know he was sent from Heaven.

The first day Hayes came, I was walking through the hall looking for the "new boy" because I saw his Jeep in the parking lot. I had always wanted a Jeep and his was perfect. There was an automatic jealousy toward Hayes. When I finally found the "new boy" sitting in my seat in Chemistry, he flashed that beautiful smile and my jealousy turned into a huge crush. Of course, his "living on the edge" attitude kicked in and he wrote me a letter asking for my phone number. I was on Cloud 9. From that day on, we talked at school every chance we got and we talked on the phone at night. He was a perfect friend.

Hayes will always be in my heart. Thinking about him and talking to him will keep him alive in our hearts. Fayette Academy will never forget him either. Anyone who came in contact with him was affected by his smile and charm, and will always have a place in their heart for him. I was blessed the day I met him, and I thank God for the time I spent with him. Thank you for raising such a remarkable child.

If you need anything, I will be more that willing to help. I would love to see your family again, you have bless my life. Please do not hesitate to call.

Sincerely,
Kate Clark

P.S. Your are always in my prayers!
